Finance BS

The Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Saint Francis will prepare you with the specialized knowledge and skills to serve the complex demands of a rapidly changing business environment. Corporations rely on finance experts to ensure that the firm’s long-term investment activities provide a return for the firm, the financial costs related to those investment decisions are minimized, and to ensure that the firm has the correct financial resources to operate. Financial experts also play an important role in the financial markets by evaluating individual securities and developing portfolios that manage the trade-off between risk and return. The finance program at the University of Saint Francis provides you with a solid finance background that will prepare you to begin your career in the field of finance.

Student Learning Outcomes

Degree Requirements

The BS in Finance requires 120 credit hours which includes:

  • 47-49 credit hours general education courses
  • 42 credit hours business core
  • 30 credit hours for major
  • 0-2 credit hours of electives

  • Finance Major Courses, 30 credit hours
    • Finance Required Courses, 18 credit hours: ACCT 206, BUS 391 or EPIC 476, ECON 350, FIN 375, FIN 410, FIN 455
    • Finance Elective Courses, 12 credit hours: ACCT 315, ACCT 316, BUS 393, EPIC 470, FIN 498, RMI 310, RMI 320, RMI 370, or MATH 223
  • Elective Courses, 0 – 2 credit hours: as needed to complete a minimum of 120 credit hours
