ENGL 390 - Associateship An associateship is an internship opportunity for English majors and minors to participate in a faculty member’s teaching, scholarship, or administrative responsibilities. The student in this class will work closely with the faculty member to arrive at a hands-on understanding of teaching, scholarly work, or administration. The student will, in assisting the instructor, produce a tangible artifact by the end of the semester. Depending on the type of associateship, these artifacts may include–but are not limited to–a lesson plan, a conference presentation, a publication, a planned event, or a special program. A student may take ENGL 390 for a total of three times, but may only participate in each type of associateship once.
Credit Hours: 3 Prerequisite: ENGL153, Sophomore Stand and Approval by Instructor Required
