ENVS 305 - Soil Science
Fundamental principles of soil science are introduced with a focus on the interrelationship between soil ecosystems and plant growth. Major soil types and classifications and their relation to food production, conservation, and sustainability are addressed. The lab provides hands-on practical skills in soil testing and exercises of the concepts explored in lecture. This course is applicable to those interested in environmental issues, food production, and landscaping/gardening.
