NURS 309 - Critical Care Nursing of Adults
This course is designed to provide the knowledge and technical skills foundational to the entry level nurse caring for critically ill clients using the AACN Synergy Model. The student will be introduced to cardiac rhythm interpretation, invasive monitoring and hemodynamics, medical interventions/ treatments, pharmacologic modalities, end of life issue and nursing care unique to the intensive care setting. The focus will be on the cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, endocrine, neurological, gastrointestinal, and hematological systems.
