NURS 406 - Clinical: Medical Surgical Nursing III Emphasis on individuals with complex, common, or recurrent health problems. Applies critical thinking and clinical judgment to provide therapeutic nursing interventions for adults and their families. Focuses on advanced assessment and nursing skills needed for implementation of therapeutic nursing interventions. Application of the teaching-learning process, discharge planning, and providing theory and research-based nursing care. Utilizes therapeutic communication to foster effective, caring relationships with individuals and their families. Clinical sites include area hospitals.
