PHES 320 - Current Issues in Health A seminar course on current information about personal health issues throughout one’s life span. It includes the effects of lifestyle and environment on community health. Topics of discussion typically include consumer health, HIV/AIDS, mental health, disease prevention, intentional and unintentional injury. Critical thinking skills will allow teacher candidates to analyze and evaluate scientific research and media’s presentation of health issues. Class participation is essential to this discussion-based course.
