READ 295 - Reading Methods in the Content Area This course focuses on teaching reading methods and strategies based on scientific research. The course utilizes modeling of differentiated reading strategies and analysis of optimal materials for optimal support for student learning in the content areas. Topics will include phonics, phonemic awareness, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and reading interventions that are direct, explicit, and multi-sensory in their approaches.
