SOCI 358 - Religion and Crime


This course examines the relationship between religion and crime at several levels. Topics may include religion-based hate crimes, ethnic and religious cleansing, domestic terrorism, armed conflicts and international terrorism, and the war on terror. The course will also examine culture’s influence on the intersectionality of gender, ethnicity, and religion in sacred-secular approaches to criminal justice.

Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisite: Junior or Senior Status
