COHS 108 - Concepts of Patient Care
This course introduces the allied health student to basic concepts related to patient care. The patient’s needs and rights as a consumer of health care services are examined. This course will also explore the role of interpersonal communication in the caregiver/patient relationship. Principles of infection control, routine patient care and emergency procedures are discussed. This course is designed to be taken with the student’s first clinical course. (Theory 2 hours)
