MRI 167 - Principles I This course introduces the foundational principles of magnetic resonance imaging. Topics include the physics of MRI, the properties of magnets and radiofrequency, and the basics of image formation. Students will explore concepts such as pulse sequences, image contrast, spatial encoding, and the components of MRI systems. The course will also cover the factors that influence image quality, including signal-to-noise ratio and artifacts.
