HLSC 111 - Intro to Medical Assistant

This course is designed to provide students with the essential skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in medical assisting.  The course integrates theorectical instruction with practical experience to prepare students for the diverse responsiblities of medical assistants in various healthcare settings. Individuals who successfully complete this course are eligible to apply to sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) certification exam for Clinical Medical Assistants.  This course meets the minimum standards set forth by the NHA for Clinical Medical Assistants.

Prerequisite: COHS-221 COHS-222 COHS-150
Corequisite: HLSC-112
