HLSC 108 - Introduction to Emergency Medicine


This course provides the foundational knowledge and practical skills required to perform emergency medical care at the Basic EMT level. Students will learn to assess and manage a wide range of medical, trauma, and environmental emergencies in pre-hospital settings. Upon successful completion, students will be prepared to sit for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification exam and pursue state licensure as an EMT. The course combines classroom instruction, hands-on lab skills, and supervised clinical experience.
