NURS 102 - LPN Transitions to Nursing
This course will prepare the licensed practical nurse to perform as a registered nurse by expanding the knowledge base and demonstrating competency in the scope of practice of the registered nurse. By reviewing the nursing process, communication, client teaching, and critical thinking, this course introduces higher levels of cognitive thinking, including clinical reasoning and judgement. Critical concepts include patient-centered care, safety, quality improvement, leadership and management and professionalism.
