NURS 120 - Adult Health Nursing I This course focuses on the basic concepts common to the promotion of health in adult clients, the nursing process to clients who are experiencing common health problems across the lifespan. Measures to diagnose, treat, and provide nursing care and management are presented. Application of the nursing process to clients who are experiencing common health problems will be explored. A focus will be placed on the nursing process for health promotion and disease prevention, as well as for the care of the ill adult. The nursing process will be utilized to guide the application of evidence-based practice, safety, scientific principles, and concepts, as well as the rationale for delivery of nursing care. Communication, assessment, teaching, and basic bedside skills will be developed. Includes clinical experience in an acute-care setting.
Credit Hours: 5 Prerequisite: NURS-102 and NURS-104
