NURS 220 - Adult Health Nursing II This course continues to develop a focus on advanced concepts common to the ill adult across the lifespan with the application of nursing process. The focus on common disorders, along with nursing care and implications are clearly identified with nursing interventions prioritized. Application of health promotion and disease prevention will be continuing. Teaching, assessment, and prevention activities will be focusing on the perioperative client. Once completed, the associate degree nursing student should begin to possess the medical-surgical adult health & illness competencies expected of a novice registered nurse in the acute and chronic care setting. Knowledge and practice of medication preparation & administration will be developed and enhanced through clinical practice. The foundations of nursing process will be implemented by students creating and updating individualized care plans for client care.
Credit Hours: 5 Prerequisite: NURS-120
