NURS 244 - Mental Health Nursing This course explores the study and application of modern concepts of psychiatric and mental health care and examines the effectiveness of interactions with others. Students learn to respond therapeutically to a variety of clients including those with maladaptive behaviors through the utilization of the nursing process. Students will place emphasis on the nursing process and sound clinical judgement to plan holistic, comprehensive care of clients. This course will prepare the student with the clinical knowledge and skills necessary for nursing practice.
Credit Hours: 3 Prerequisite: NURS-102 and NURS-104
