LANUR 120 - Adult Health Nursing I This course focuses on the basic concepts common to the promotion of health in the adult client across the lifespan. Measures to diagnose, treat and provide nursing care and management are presented. Application of nursing process to clients, who are experiencing common health problems, will be explored. A focus will be placed on nursing process for health promotion and disease prevention as well as for the care of the ill adult. The nursing process will be utilized to guide the application of evidence-based practice, safety, scientific principles & concepts, as well as the rationale for delivery of nursing care. Communication, assessment, teaching, and basic bedside skills will be developed. Includes clinical experience in an acute-care setting.
Credit Hours: 5 Prerequisite: LANUR-104 and LANUR-105
