NURS 107 - Fundamental Nursing Skills & Concepts II


Second, in a two-course sequence, this course is
designed to guide application of theory &
principles for nursing skills and interventions. 
It includes didactic content with guided skill
practice in the laboratory.  The student will
learn concepts and principles behind each skill
and will practice and obtain proficiency of each
nursing skill set.  The student will demonstrate
proficiency performing psychomotor skills related
to: hygiene, comfort, oxygenation, mobility needs,
measurement of vital signs, wound care, and
elimination. A clinical rotation will occur near
the completion of this course for the student to
perform nursing interventions using acquired
skills.  They will begin to apply the nursing
process and the safe care of a client with
clinical faculty supervision.
