DANC 221 - Dance Composition I This course in an exploration of basic rhythmic, spatial and dynamic materials in the designing of dance movements; improvisation and exploration of various ideological and aesthetic sources. Students will work primarily without musical accompaniment in class and will study the foundations of crafting movement. This includes symmetry and asymmetry, movement motifs and phrases, motivation and gesture and form.
Credit Hours: 3 Prerequisite: Dance Audition Required
