NURS 180 - Pharmacology I


This course introduces drug therapy, drug classifications, purposes of drug administration, mechanisms of drug action, adverse effects of drugs and clinically significant drug interactions. The nursing process is used to define nursing responsibilities in drug administration including legal and ethical considerations and emphasizes application of knowledge and safe administration of drug therapy to patients across the lifespan.

Credit Hours: 2
Prerequisite: NURS 121
