NURS 270 - Pharmacology in Health Care


Introduces drug therapy detailing drug classifications, purposes of drug administration, mechanisms of drug action, adverse effects of drugs and clinically significant drug interactions. The nursing process is used to define nursing responsibilities in drug administration. Emphasizes nursing implications of drug therapy with application of knowledge to care of clients across the lifespan.

Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisite: NURS 211  & NURS 212
