NURS 294 - Transition to Professional Nursing
This course integrates nursing concepts with emphasis on transition to the role of the professional nurse in health care organizations. Students will plan evidence based nursing care, prioritize patient needs, and consider ethical and cultural implications, including Catholic Social Teaching and Franciscan values. At the conclusion of this course, students will demonstrate the knowledge, attitudes and leadership ability necessary to provide quality, individualized, safe entry level nursing care.
