NURS 356 - Global Health


This course introduces students to contemporary global issues and emerging trends in today’s most critical global healthcare issues. The students will increase their understanding of the global dimensions of health and disease, various strategic health initiatives, and the short-and-long-term outcomes of both diseases and correlating health care interventions. An exploration of a variety of topics include: maternal and infant mortality, HIV, health and environmental hazards, health in conflict zones, health care systems and best practice health initiatives.This course may include a trip abroad option.
