PSYC 355 - Sports Psychology


This course introduces the field of sport psychology and examines the role of psychological constructs in influencing sport performance and physical activity settings. This course will help students learn and then apply practical and theoretical information to the psychology of sport and individuals. Multiple dimensions in the field will be reviewed such as learning about sport participants, understanding sport and exercise environments, focusing on group processes, improving performance, enhancing health and well-being, facilitating psychological growth and development.

Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisite: PSYC 121
