MAST 108 - Pharmacology in Medical Assisting
This course will provide the students with basic knowledge and principles of pharmacology pertinent to the office setting. Concepts include calculation and dosage of medications, drug classifications and actions, administration of medication, legal aspects associated with medication administration, and patient education related to medication. This course will also cover common medications, classifications, routes of administration, and side effects with emphasis on the most common medications seen in a medical practice setting (ie cardiac medications)
