DMS 342 - Cardiovascular Hemodynamics Advanced cardiac and vascular physiology and hemodynamics with integration of hemodynamic measurements and quantification used in echocardiography. Basic systolic and diastolic functions of a normal heart. Development of an understanding of the cardiac cycle, the Doppler Principle, Bernoulli Principle, and normal intracardiac pressures, flows, and resistance. Students will gain an in-depth knowledge of normal cardiovascular hemodynamics that serves as the foundation of understanding complex cardiovascular disease states.
