BIOL 131 - Foundations of Biology I: Structure & Function For science majors, the course provides a solid and broad understanding of biological science at the levels of molecules, cells, tissues, organs, and systems. It is meant to prepare students for more specialized biology courses by teaching vocabulary, major principles, math, laboratory skills, professional etiquette, and applications. Students will plan and carry out their own independent research project, testing a hypothesis through the use of statistics.
