AMI 450 - Cardiac/Vascular Procedures II This course is a continuation of AMI 354. The course will provide detailed coverage of procedures for imaging of body systems in adults and pediatric patients in advanced imaging modalities. Topics include, but are not limited to, indications for the procedure, patient education, preparation, orientation and positioning, patient history and assessment, contrast media usage, scout image, selectable scan parameters and archiving of the images. Procedures will be taught for differentiation of specific structures, patient symptomology and pathology.
Students will focus on procedures in their designated specialty track of computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, vascular/cardiac interventional, mammography, or bone densitometry.
