Education (Non-Licensing) Minor

Return to: Academic Programs
Three factors form the rationale for the Minor in Education (Non-Licensing). First, the minor not only exposes students to the profession but prepares them foundationally to transition to a SF postbaccalaureate program for teacher licensure. The minor offers 5 different pathways dependent upon the student’s goals. Credit hours earned in the minor can be applied toward completion of a teaching license post baccalaureate degree. Second, the minor in Education will provide real K-12 school field experience to students who are uncertain as to their career paths. Finally, the minor will prepare students who wish to develop skills that could be applied in the training/instructional realm in another discipline, or in teaching at the university level.
