Biology Minor

Minor Requirements

The Biology minor introduces students to fundamental topics in the areas of cell and molecular biology, genetics, physiology, and ecology and evolution.  Two courses within specific 100 level courses must be taken according to certain specifications.  And four or five 200 level courses must be taken according to certain specifications.

The Biology Minor requires 18 credit hours

• BIOL 121 - General Biology I

• and

• BIOL 122 - General Biology II

• or

•  

• BIOL 130 - Foundations of Biology I: Evolution, Ecology, & Diversity

• and

• BIOL 131 - Foundations of Biology I: Structure & Function

• and

• SCIE 480 - Science Seminar

Additional courses:

Three -  BIOL 200 level courses or higher non-field courses

One -  BIOL 200-level courses or higher BIOL or ENVS courses

Total Credits: 18
