A Minor in Criminal Justice allows students to gain an understanding of the major components of the criminal justice system and how various agencies work in collaboration to pursue justice. The three core required courses will provide students with knowledge about the criminal justice system, criminal law and how the laws apply to society, as well as study various criminological theories that attempt to explain why individuals commit crimes. To complete this minor, the student will choose three additional courses from the criminal justice and criminology catalog, based on their interests. This minor is a good complement to any degree for students who have an interest in this field.
