Special Needs Minor

Two factors form the rationale for the minor in Special Needs (Non-Licensing). First, the minor exposes students to the special education profession and prepares them foundationally to transition to a USF post-baccalaureate program for teacher licensure. Credit hours earned in the minor can be applied toward completion of a teaching license. Second, the minor will prepare students who wish to develop skills that could be applied in community settings working with children and adults who have special needs.
