The Bachelor of Science in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Saint Francis will provide you with the specialized knowledge and skills to serve the complex demands of a rapidly changing business environment. Students will learn to scrutinize the risks inherent in the operation of organizations at all levels, in all industries. The risk management and insurance program at the University of Saint Francis provides you with a sold background in risk management and insurance to prepare you for a career in the insurance sector.

Student Learning Outcomes

The student learning outcomes of the Bachelor of Science in Risk Management and Insurance program are:

Degree Requirements

The Bachelor of Science in Risk Management and Insurance requires 120 credit hours which includes:

  • 36 credit hours general education courses
  • 54 credit hours business core
  • 21 credit hours for major
  • 9 credit hours for electives

Risk Management and Insurance Major Courses, 21 Credit Hours:


Elective Courses, 9 Credit Hours: as Needed to Complete a Minimum of 120 Credit Hours

Progression Requirements


All Bachelor of Science in Risk Management and Insurance majors must maintain a GPA of at least 2.0,are required to earn a grade of “C” or better in all business core courses required by the major.
