BUS 533 - Employment Law This course will focus on federal and state employment laws that govern the workplace. Students will examine, from a human resources professional’s perspective, a realistic workplace case study and scenarios involving issues and problems impacting employees, employers, and human resources professionals. Through reading a combination of substantive and statutory case law, readings and other material, students will focus on addressing workplace employment issues, polices, protections, workplace investigations and application of and compliance with employment laws.
