EDUC 576 - Organization and Administration of School Counseling


This course provides a foundational understanding of the school environment including issues faced by the professional school counselor, i.e., philosophical, ethical, legal, political, cultural, economic, and counselor self-development. Also explored will be the leadership roles and responsibilities of the school counselor, the ASCA National Model of school counseling, Indiana School Counseling Associations (ISCA) guidance framework, and varying components related to multicultural populations, faculty/teachers, students, and parents/families.
