EDUC 685 - Clinical Practicum
Site-based formative field experience for transitioning professionals. Through on-going guidance of on-site supervisors-mentors and university supervisors, students will apply their knowledge, skills, and professional behaviors in authentic settings required of teaching professionals. For education licensing students, this course assesses application of principles and practices of the following: instruction and assessment methods, literacy in content areas, adaptations for students with special needs, integration of technology in the classroom, collaboration among school personnel, and brain-based principles for effective classroom management. For non-licensing students, this course assesses proficiencies expected of professionals in the independent sector, including, but not limited to non-profits, religious, and community-based organizations.
