The College of Arts, Science, and Business, through the Keith Busse School of Business and Entrepreneurial Leadership, offers an online Master of Human Resource Management (MHRM) which can be completed in 12 to 24 months. The online MHRM will build and shape aspiring human resource students for leadership and management roles in business organizations. The master students will more fully understand their roles and responsibilities in developing, expanding, and transforming these organizations and in advancing the discipline and practice of leadership, relationship management, business acumen, and HR knowledge through detailed research and application.
In this program students will:
· develop a strong understanding of strategic planning as a key process;
· have an opportunity to develop critical knowledge and tools for understanding organizational challenges for which the HR function can develop support;
· explore how to align ethics and values with the strategy formulation process;
· align HR strategies to the organization’s strategies; and
· drive organizational success by helping create a competitive advantage.
The MHRM program is Academically Aligned by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). SHRM Academic Alignment Program participants are recognized as SHRM academic partners and as such, are seen as a top choice for students seeking a career in Human Resources. Students enrolled in a SHRM HR aligned program are provided with the opportunity to earn their SHRM-CP credential prior to graduating, providing them with a competitive advantage in the job market.

Furthering the mission to develop business professionals and entrepreneurs, graduates of the MBA program will acquire the skills described in the following outcomes:

· Examine the role of HR in legal and regulatory compliance of an organization.

· Evaluate the role of HR in facilitating social change opportunities.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants to the MSA program must meet the following criteria:
· Possess a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale or a graduate degree from a regionally accredited institution.
· If the cumulative GPA is below 2.75, applicants must complete directed essay questions which will be reviewed by the Business Graduate Admission Council for admission consideration.
· If the bachelor’s degree was from a non-regionally accredited institution, the applicant must take the GMAT or GRE for admission consideration. GMAT scores of 500 or GRE scores of 300 or above are required for admission.
To apply for the MSA students must:
· Submit online application for admission.
· Submit official transcript(s) for most recent bachelor or graduate degree conferred.
· Transcripts are official only if sent directly to the Office of Admissions from the registrar of the institution attended.
Note: Transcripts will be evaluated for evidence of basic knowledge of Common Professional Competencies. Based on this review, completion of appropriate course pre-requisites may be required.
