NURS 414 - Clinical: Leadership and Management As a capstone clinical course, the student refines critical thinking and clinical judgment when caring for adults with multiple, complex problems within the health care system and the community. Collaborates with the health care team for coordination of person-centered care and professional development. Utilizes effective communication to facilitate caring, therapeutic relationships with individuals. Utilizes nursing research and nursing theory to improve nursing practice. Builds independence in the role of a nurse leader. Collaborates with the healthcare team in the development of clinical leadership and management skills. Emphasizes professional role socialization and career development planning in nursing practice. Clinical sites include area hospitals.
Credit Hours: 4 Prerequisite: NURS 406 & NURS 405 & NURS 404 & NURS 403
